I am a 3d artist and animator who has had a fine arts training and background.
Working now mostly in Maya for broadcast animation, I have also had experience in illustration and graphic design as well as 2d animation and web design.
I have worked recently on a computer game producing high level 3D graphics, a Discovery Channel documentary in conjunction with Atlantean Pictures, as well producing short trailers for Skyline Entertainment.
I have worked for print media, publishing, and also for children's television animation. I also started 'Figment Factory' through which he has produced a number of Flash based music videos for unsigned music acts.
My work has always been fresh, inventive and style-defining. It's strength often being quality artwork coupled with a spark of imagination.

Worked with Douglas Fisher, commercial photographer producing CG images for advertising. Clients include Nike, Renault, and Shell and images have appeared on billboards and magazines across Europe.
Produced visuals for the Atari produced computer game Tycoon New York. Worked as part of team producing 3D models for a visualization of New York. 130 buildings were produced in all - the graphics being a large part of the game play.
Worked as a designer for OML Marketing. Designer and illustrator for print media. Main clients include Diagio (Bells Whiskey) and DC Leisure (Health and fitness)
Completed Maya Foundation course at Escape Studios.
Worked with Atlantean Pictures on animations of cells and capillaries for a Discovery Channel documentary.
Worked on two short trailers for Skyline Entertainment.
2002-2003
Completed several animated music videos for unsigned bands under the name of Figment Factory. I have been looking at ways of using my skills to promote new music in an effective way. I set up the figment factory website and have have several side projects lined up as a result of this.

Worked for Telemagination producing background art for children's television animation. I have worked on several high profile cartoons and the creative stages defining the look of the cartoon.

Freelance illustration work. Print media, magazines, children's books, CD sleeves, posters etc. I have worked on a wide range of freelance projects from sustained poster campaigns, regular magazine illustrations, to children's books and logos.

Flash Animations
I have been working with Flash producing short animations for the last couple of years.
My more recent work has involved doing animated music videos. I have produced these under the name of Figment Factory, and have been marketing the idea to unsigned bands. I have set up a website to promote this idea. I feel there is great future for this kind of work, and I hope to continue my interest in this.
The three videos shown here were done in styles chosen to fit best with the style of music.

Jookbox
I developed the 'jookbox' as a means of showcasing music and Flash video. The aim is to make listening to music on the web more interactive and visually interesting.

Graphic Design
I have worked in print media doing page layout and design.
Animation Backgrounds
I have worked on several children's television series doing background art.
I have been involved also at the creative stage of defining the look of the cartoon.
Notable examples include 'Pongwiffy' (starring Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders), 'The Cramp Twins, (a very popular US kids cartoon), and 'Dr Snuggles' (a three minute pilot starring Jim Broadbent.)

The skills needed for this differ greatly from other kinds of illustration. I really love the challenge of this kind of work.

I have designed several websites.
The example here is a simple site used for an online CV.
My training and background is as an oil painter.
I have had both solo and group exhibitions, as well as doing murals and entered many high profile competitions.
The painting shown is from my forthcoming exhibition 'Real World'.
This is still an interest I maintain, and I certainly hope to continue painting.
